Abstract
This standard describes the basic definitions for all standards of the family 61340-x-y. The physical principles determine the definitions. The limits for the special definitions refer to the special applications, for example in the electronic areas: 61340-5-1 and 5-2. Note: This version still includes the part numbers of the standard family ((x-y)). These indications will be cancelled in the final version (IS).
