Proposal from the German National Committee to IEC SC 77A for an addition to IEC 61000-3-2, Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) - Part 3-2: Limits - Limits for harmonic current emissions (equipment input current = 16 A per phase)

Abstract

This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 61000-3-2:2000 with incorporated Amendment A2:2005 and takes over the International Standard IEC 61000-3-2:2000 with its Amendments 1:2001 and 2:2004. It contains requirements for harmonic currents caused by electrical and electronic equipment with an input current < 16 A per Phase, which are intended for connection to a public low-voltage power distribution network, in the latter. In relation to the previous edition DIN EN 61000-3-2 (VDE 0838-2):2001-12 + Corrigendum:2002-12 requirements were added for discharge lighting equipment which has built-in dimmers or consists of independent dimmers or dimmers built in an enclosure and the test conditions for washing machines in annex C were modified.
