Measurement and assessment of low-frequency noise immissions

Abstract

The document describes a procedure for measuring and assessing low-frequency noise immissions in the case of airborne and/or structure-borne sound transmission. It is intended to supplement the existing measurement and assessment procedures for noise and to serve for the assessment of low-frequency noise immissions for protection against significant annoyance. If noise-determining components in the one-third octave bands with nominal center frequencies < 8 Hz are suspected, the measuring range 1 Hz to 20 Hz should be considered additionally.
