Abstract

This document outlines a generic process for developing material for education and training of operators of medical electrical equippment. It may be used by standards organizations, manufactures, regulatory agencies, hospital managers, clinical engineers, physicial and nurse educators, and other involved dierctly or indirectly in education and training of users/operatiors. In particular, manufacturers may find this process useful in preparing the necessary markings, accompanying documents and other educational materials which will provide necessary information to operators of medical electrical equipment and encourage them to emply safe and effective practices.
