Acoustical design in buildings - Lifts
Abstract
When switching, starting, moving and braking, elevator systems cause noise that is transmitted to adjacent rooms (rooms requiring protection) and can lead to disturbances and nuisance if the elevator system or the building has not been properly planned and constructed. This standard deals with this area of responsibility for elevator systems with and without a machine room and contains noise protection targets and the emission parameters required to achieve them, planning and execution principles as well as measurement requirements for checking compliance with the parameters.
