Air quality - Determination of ozone in ambient air - Ultraviolet photometric method - Amendment 1: Consensus value for the ozone absorption cross-section at room temperature at the mercury-line wavelength (253,65 nm air)

Abstract

Noting that the major national measurement and standards bodies around the world have recommended that the new value for the absorption cross-section of ozone at room temperature at the mercury-line wavelength (253,65nm, air) (CCQM.O3.2019) be adopted into the methods and standards for measuring ozone in air it was decided to amend ISO 13964:1998 in order - to incorporate the change in the ozone absorption cross section value at 253.65 nm (air), (CCQM.O3.2019), - to correct the typographical errors in the reference pressure value in ISO 13964, - to harmonize the use of significant figures used in temperature and pressure values in the two methods, - to limit the amendments to changing only the ozone absorption cross-section value, the correction of the typographical errors in the reference pressure value, and the harmonization of temperature and pressure values.
