Basic standard on measurement and calculation procedures for human exposure to electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields (0 Hz - 300 GHz); German version EN 50413:2019/prA1:2024-09

Abstract

This standard contains general requirements for the measurement and calculation of the electromagnetic fields, the induced body current and the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) related to human exposure to electromagnetic fields. The objective of this standard is to specify a procedure for the demonstration of compliance with the reference values or action levels for the electromagnetic field or the basic restrictions or exposure limits for the induced body current and the specific absorption rate. Furthermore, requirements concerning the measurement uncertainty are given in this standard. The informative annex A contains information for use for establishing an uncertainty budget. In relation to the previous edition the content of the standard was shortened and replaced by references to other standards etc.
