Photovoltaic cells - Part 7: Measurement of flexural strength of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells

Abstract

This standard describes the testing method for measuring the flexural strength of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells, which adopts a two-end free support and applies a load at a constant speed in the middle. The calculation of flexural strength is based on the applied force, the span, the deflection and the dimensions of the cells. This standard is applies to all types of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells. The purpose of this standard is to provide an effective method to measure the flexural strength of crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells. The method can be used to evaluate the flexural resistance properties of the cells and reduce the probability of breakage during the production process.
