Abstract

This document specifies the procedure by which the ball impact resistance of ceiling, wall and built-in elements for sports halls (e. g. wall and ceiling cladding, doors, windows, ventilation grilles, lights, switches, sockets, clocks, etc.) is tested in accordance with DIN 18032-1. It is applicable for all elements that can be hit by basketball, fistball, soccer, handball, field hockey ball, medicine ball, bouncing ball, tennis ball and volleyball in the indoor hall. The document is not applicable to the stress from impact balls.
