Lubricants and related materials - Classification of lubricants - Part 8: Lubricant application table - Minimum requirements for the structure and content of a lubricant application table

Abstract

This document describes the structure and content of a lubricant usage table (SET) for lubrication point-related documentation in compliance with the standardized standards. By using standardized lubricant data (requirement standards), queries to the machine manufacturer can be omitted. DIN 51502-1 defines the classification and the basic structure of the short designation for lubricants and related substances. DIN 51502-2 to DIN 51502-7 then specify in detail the abbreviated designations for the individual lubricant groups.
