Lubricants and related materials - Classification of lubricants - Part 7: Other media
Abstract
This document specifies the abbreviated designation of all other media in the field of lubricants that are not included in the main groups 1 to 5 (DIN 51502-2 to DIN 51502-6). The classification of the individual lubricant groups and the basic structure of the abbreviated designation for pressure fluids in up to three designation blocks (A, B, C) is defined in DIN 51502-1. This document specifies the labeling of packaging, containers, lubricant containers, lubrication devices, lubrication points and the information in product data sheets. The general international labeling of lubricants is defined in DIN ISO 6743-99. The specific international marking of other media is defined in ISO 6743-8, ISO 6743-10 and ISO 6743-12.
