Abstract
This document specifies the abbreviated designation of all pressure fluids. The classification of the individual lubricant groups and the basic structure of the abbreviated designation for fluids into up to three designation blocks (A, B, C) is defined in DIN 51502-1. This document also specifies the labeling of packaging, containers, lubricant containers, lubricating lubrication devices, lubrication points and the information in product data sheets. The general international marking of lubricants is defined in DIN ISO 6743-99. The specific international marking of hydraulic fluids is defined in DIN EN ISO 6743-4
