Requirements for the systematic collection and provision of life cycle assessment data for the application of artificial intelligence in life cycle assessment in the circular economy

Abstract

This topic has been submitted as a request for the development of a DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure. The application is currently being examined. DIN SPECs are developed within workshops set up on a temporary basis. This document will be developed and approved by the authors who will approve the business plan. The DIN SPEC defines a format and its requirements for the systematic collection/provision of data for life cycle assessment and the creation of DPPs using AI for various products. Criteria for evaluating the current life cycle data inventory and data requirements for the application of AI are defined. The DIN SPEC defines how to quickly identify data and analyze necessary requirements, new threats and vulnerabilities in order to use artificial intelligence and machine learning in a Circular Economy. This document is not applicable to the use of AI to reduce the environmental impact of products or production processes. This document is not applicable as an AI or LCA tool.
