Abstract

This document does not describe any specific processes or methods for taking ergonomics into account in work design or usability in product design. For this, reference is made to other relevant sources (in particular standards). The document is aimed at all those involved in work and product design in order to create a basic understanding of ergonomic issues and to support them in their work. The special features in Germany with regard to the role of standardization in occupational health and safety must be taken into account appropriately.
