Recycled aggregates for concrete in accordance with DIN EN 12620 - Part 101: Types and regulated dangerous substances; Amendment 1

Abstract

This standard applies together with DIN EN 12620:2008-07 to recycled aggregates with an aggregate density ≥ 1 500 kg/m3 for use in concrete. It specifies the testing and assessment of regulated hazardous substances in recycled aggregates. The use of recycled aggregates of types 1 and 2 in accordance with this standard and DIN EN 12620:2008-07 is regulated in DIN 1045 2:2023-08. Application-related structural requirements for types 3 and 4 in accordance with this standard are selected separately on the basis of DIN EN 12620:2008-07. This Amendment A1 includes regulations for used track ballast and concrete sleepers, corrects the requirement values in Table 1, lowers the PAH16 maximum value and updates the test methods.
