Classification methods for the evaluation of irregular oscillations - Part 1: Fundamentals of the classification of irregular oscillations - Reversal point sequence

Abstract

This document specifies a method by means of which measurement signals with changing amplitudes and mean values can be processed in such a way that a sequence of reversal points is available, which can then be classified. The counting methods are explained below using an oscillating load. The counting methods are also suitable for processing any time functions. Part 1 explains the terms used and describes the conversion of an analog or digital measurement signal into a reversal point sequence. This document is applicable for the classification of a single measurand. This document is not applicable for multi-channel measurement signals.
