Abstract

This document specifies a standardized test method for evaluating fiber fragments released from a textile material during simulated washing. The disclosed method enables a quick and simple comparison of the captured fiber fragment discharge amounts among various textile materials, permitting the shedding classification of textile materials based on a visual evaluation. This serves as a simplified complementary method to existing testing methods.
