Open BIM in the real estate lifecycle - requirements for the data transfer from the planning phase to the operating phase of a building

Abstract

This topic has been submitted as a request for the development of a DIN SPEC according to the PAS procedure. The application is currently being examined. DIN SPECs in accordance with the PAS procedure are developed within workshops set up on a temporary basis. This document will be developed and approved by the authors who will approve the business plan. This DIN SPEC specifies requirements for data transfer to the operational phase that meets all information requirements throughout the entire real estate life cycle. In addition, requirements are specified for the software systems involved in coupling with classifications and mapping procedures (IFC class to CAFM class). These requirements are designed to be flexible so as not to limit the range of solutions too much. On the other hand, concrete solution variants are also presented in order to make recommendations for information detailing depending on the desired FM use case. Regardless of the solution chosen, the import of the IFC model into a CAFM system is guaranteed.
