Acceptance test of nuclear medical measuring systems - Part 104:Positron emission tomographs (PET)

Abstract

This standard applies to hybrid devices consisting of a positron emission tomograph and a CT scanner. The standard specifies procedures for acceptance testing. This standard applies to positron emission tomography with stationary or movable radiation detectors arranged in a ring. The purpose of this document is to define the procedures necessary for the acceptance test within the quality inspection. This standard does not apply to the radiotherapy planning functionality of PET/CT systems. This standard does not apply to SPECT systems operating in coincidence mode. This standard does not apply to hybrid devices consisting of a positron emission tomograph and a magnetic resonance tomograph.
