Shut-off valves for drinking water installations in properties and buildings - General requirements and tests for manually operated shut-off valves

Abstract

This standard applies to manually operated shut-off valves: -Piston valve in special design up to nominal width DN 100, PN 10, -Diaphragm fittings up to nominal diameter DN 100, PN 10 -Spools up to nominal diameter DN 100, PN 10 -Ceramic disc valve up to nominal diameter DN XXX, PN 10 Installation distributor with integrated shut-off valve up to nominal width DN 100, PN 10 which is installed in drinking water installations according to DIN 1988 and DIN EN 806. This standard specifies general requirements, such as those for tightness, resistance to internal pressure, hydraulic behavior and mechanical behavior, which valves with pressure-bearing housing parts made of metallic materials for drinking water installations in properties and buildings must meet, as well as the test methods that make this possible to check the requirements.
