Road vehicles – Electrical cables – Determination of current carrying capacity of single core automotive cables
Abstract
The document describes a calculation method for current load of single wire unshielded electrical cables in road vehicles. The maximum current load is calculated based on the ambient temperature and the continuous operating temperature of the single wire used in the application. In addition the document includes a calculation method for the limitation integral I²t. This document will be created by the working group “NA 052-00-32-04 AK “ in the technical committee „NA052-00-32AA „E/E-Komponenten und allgemeine Systemanforderungen“ as a part of German national standardization committee DIN (Normenausschuss Automobiltechnik - NAAutomobil).
