Engineering geodesy - Part 4: Deformation measurements

Abstract

The provisions of this standard are applicable to the planning, execution, evaluation and documentation of monitoring measurements. Surveys for monitoring technical objects (structures, machinery, etc.) and natural objects (embankments, landslide slopes, etc.) are carried out in order to record their movements and deformations and to document the respective time-varying condition. The standard serves to standardize and ensure the quality of the verification of monitoring measurements. It also provides the technical basis for expertly interpreting the results of monitoring measurements from an engineering geodetic perspective.
