Abstract

This document is only valid in conjunction with DIN EN 15378-1 and specifies the scope and periodicity of the energy inspections of heat generators and heating systems as they are dealt with in the context of the EPBD. Inspection in the sense of this document is understood to be the qualitative and/or quantitative recording and assessment of the energy efficiency of the heating system or its components with the aim of deriving measures to maintain or improve the energy quality of the heating systems or these components. The inspection as part of the measures for the maintenance of a heating system or its components, (inspection, maintenance and repair) is not the subject of this document. The information in this standard does not replace the design of a heating system or its components. This document applies to all heating systems in residential and non-residential buildings with a nominal heat output of 4 kW or more.
