Abstract

This DIN SPEC draft in accordance with the PAS procedure has been developed within a DIN-SPEC-consortium set up on a temporary basis. The draft has been developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword. DIN SPEC drafts are published free of charge for 2 months for comments. This document specifies requirements for fire suppression blankets for use with electric vehicles. The fire blankets are not active extinguishing agents. The fire blankets are primarily intended for use by specialist personnel. However, this document does not specify whether and by whom the fire blankets are to be used. Fire suppression blankets according to this document are intended for use on electric vehicles and not for direct use on a removed and opened traction battery.
