Robotics for electricity generation, transmission and distribution systems - Part 2-1: General Technical Requirements for UAS for Overhead Power Lines Inspection

Abstract

This standard describes general technical requirements for unmanned aircraft system (UAS) (products) used for overhead power line inspection. It applies to UAS used for inspection of low-voltage, medium-voltage and high-voltage overhead power lines. This standard describes the specific recommendations for the general functional performance of UAS used for power line inspection. Specifically, it specifies the composition of such UAS and requirements for their functional performance and common interface with mission payload. By functional performance, it refers to the flight, inspection, anti-electromagnetic interference, power supply, application environment adaptability, mechanical tolerability and other performances of such UAS.
