Glass fibre reinforced reactive resins pipes, fittings and joints for chemical pipelines

Abstract

This document is applicable to chemical pipes consisting of pipes, fittings (bends, T-pieces, nozzles, reducers) and joints (collars with loose flanges, fixed flanges, laminate joints) according to Clause 7 of this document. Influences resulting from e.g. thermal expansion or pressure surges are not taken into account in the dimensioning of components in this document; verification is carried out by means of suitable calculations. This document specifies reserves for axial loads depending on the laminate structure. The maximum operating temperature results from the chemical and physical properties of the laminate system/thermoplastic lining used. Special attention must be paid to the material behavior of the piping components and seals under the influence of aggressive flow substances. The purpose of this document is to standardize chemical pipes. All components according to this document are designed on the basis of the partial safety concept, following DIN EN 1990. A design factor of 6 has been taken into account for the design in this document.
