Geometrical product specifications (GPS) - Surface texture: Areal - Part 601: Design and characteristics of contact (stylus) instruments (ISO/FDIS 25178-601:2024); German and English version FprEN ISO 25178-601:2024

Abstract

This document specifies the design, metrological characteristics and nominal characteristics of contact stylus instruments for the areal measurement of surface topography. Because surface profiles can be extracted from areal surface topography data, the methods described in this document are also applicable to profile measurements.
