Abstract

This document contains the detailed description and evaluation of the measures for radon-protected construction. The basic principles and measures for radon-protected construction are described in DIN/TS 18117-1. The measures specified in this document: include construction and ventilation measures; distinguish between buildings to be newly built or renovated; take into account the use of the inner rooms. This document is applicable only to buildings with occupied spaces or workplaces. This document does not generally apply to retrofit measures in existing buildings, unless procedures can be used for this purpose that are regulated in this document.
