Abstract

This International Standard specifies methods for measuring the performance of electric washing machines for household use, with or without heating devices, and utilising cold and/or hot water supply, including those which specify the use of no detergent for normal use. This Amendment to Annex B of IEC 60456:2010 (Edition 5) has been prepared to approve the replacement of reference detergent A* by the standard powder detergent (IEC-P) from when the former will not be available due to the restriction of the production, marketing and use of sodium perborate in some countries of the world. The Amendment also provides the dosage for the standard powder detergent (IEC-P).
