Abstract

This DIN SPEC draft in accordance with the PAS procedure has been developed within a DIN SPEC (PAS)-consortium set up on a temporary basis. The draft has been developed and approved by the authors named in the foreword. DIN SPEC (PAS) drafts are published free of charge for 2 months for comments. This DIN SPEC (PAS) defines characteristics for the evaluation and classification of newly produced furniture with regard to its circularity and locates these in a system of characteristics in the various life phases of a furniture product. All phases from design to end of life are covered. For example, partial aspects of the document may be applicable to repaired or refurbished furniture. The system of characteristics is applicable to all types of furniture and customer areas.
