Abstract
The supplement to DIN 1946-6:2019 applies to the planning, construction (installation), transfer/acceptance and maintenance of fan-assisted exhaust air or supply and exhaust air units, as well as extractor hoods and other air-suction devices in conjunction with room-air-dependent and room-air-independent single-room fireplaces for solid fuels for single-occupancy flue gas systems. The definition of the 1st BImSchV for single-room furnaces applies as single-room fireplace. Ventilation units for bathrooms and toilet rooms without outside windows in accordance with DIN 18017-3 also count as exhaust air units. Fan-assisted supply air devices are not included, as no dangerous negative pressure occurs during operation. This document was developed by the working committee NA 041-02-51 AA "Residential ventilation" in the DIN Standards Committee Heating and Ventilation Technology and their Safety (NHRS).
