Abstract

Currently, companies use internal procedures for the classification and documentation of personal protective equipment (PPE). This results in a high effort for both the contractor and the client to coordinate the associated documents. This effort is to be reduced by the definition of a general data string for the classification of PPE. In addition, the protection of the employees is increased by the constant PPE control. Contractors face a variety of different forms of documentation. An understanding must be developed in each case in order to meet the client's company-specific requirements. Contractors have to maintain their contract documents individually in order to increase the protection of employees and to assure themselves of occupational safety. The aim is therefore to jointly develop a standardized data string for the field of industrial process and process engineering plants.
