Floor levelling compounds - Technical specification and installation - Part 1: Cement and calcium sulphate-based floor levelling compounds

Abstract

This document is applicable to cement- and calcium sulphate-based floor levelling compounds that are used for the full-surface production of levelling layers up to a thickness of 10 mm to accommodate floor coverings and ensure the suitability of the substrate for the installation of floor coverings. By using the floor levelling compound, a homogeneous layer is built up on the load-bearing substrate, particularly with regard to absorbency, evenness and strength. This document describes the relevant properties of floor levelling compounds and/or floor levelling coats and specifies the framework conditions for their application. This document is not applicable to floor levelling compounds based on dispersion and reaction resins. This document is not applicable for screeds according to DIN 18560 (all parts). Special floor levelling compounds suitable for this purpose and approved by the manufacturer can also be used outdoors.
