Abstract

This standard specifies safety requirements and their verification, environmental requirements and associated test methods, and minimum performance limits for the design and construction of backpack-mounted, internal combustion engine-powered sprayers. It describes procedures for avoiding or reducing hazards resulting from their use. In addition, it specifies the information required for safe operation. It addresses general operating parameters and the precipitation of spray droplets under specified conditions.
