Abstract

This document presents general principles for individual monitoring and assessing radiation doses received by people exposed during a nuclear or major radiological event. The document mainly focuses on the emergency phase which needs rapid actions to be undertaken for achieving the goals in support and according to the national or international guidelines on emergency response.
