Abstract

This document was prepared as a first step towards establishing requirements for a European Standard for evacuation lifts. Since it has made recommendations to improve access to lifts for people with disabilities, the buildings with elevators in accordance with EN 81-70, there is no doubt that a standardized an evacuation elevator would be a useful step towards carrying out a safe evacuation.
