Guide on the organizational structure and processes for the assessment of the membership criteria of CEN and CENELEC

Abstract

Since 2012, CEN and CENELEC have put in place a voluntary assessment system based on a set of criteria for membership which all their national members need to fulfil in order to retain their CEN and/or CENELEC membership. In September 2017, the General Assemblies of both CEN and CENELEC approved an important revision of the relevant provisions on the membership criteria and decided to incorporate this into the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations. At the same time, CEN-CENELEC Guide 22, on the organizational aspects on the assessment of the membership criteria, was also revised. Both these new deliverables will come into force as of 2018-01-01.
