Abstract

This document is applicable to lugs which, as a part of the towing attachment according to VG 95711-1, are used for towing wheeled and tracked vehicles of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) with a maximum authorized mass (GVWR) of up to 70 t. The towing attachment according to the documents of the VG 95711 series can also be used for recovery as recovery aids and for load securing as load restraining aids for land, sea and air transport. Towing lugs according to this document correspond to the requirements of Standard 2 according to STANAG 4478. This document is not applicable to lugs for complete vehicle lifting. For lugs of trailer couplings STANAG 4101 and VG 74059 are applicable.
