Abstract

This standard is applicable to the following nailing machines used in footwear industry: heel attaching machines, heel nailing machines, gang nailing machines. It specifies safety requirements for the design and construction of nailing machines. The relevant hazards within the footwear industry are covered. The standard does not apply to gang nailing machines which comply with the requirements for seat lasting machines. For these machines, see EN 931.
