The working committee NA 062-08-93 AA "Utensils in contact with food - Testing of the migration from plastics " is concerned with standardization work regarding re-quired methods of test following reglementary requests dealing with chemical security for materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
In addition NA 062-08-93 AA is the national mirror committee of CEN/TC 194/SC 1 "General chemical methods of test for materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs". It deals with overall migration, methods of test for mono-mers, metal release, standard formats, polymeric coatings on metal substrates, polymeric coatings on cellulosic substrates and test methods for certain epoxy deriva-tives.
