Information management in construction is a decisive cost and time factor. If the transmission and management of information does not function optimally, this results in considerable material and other losses. In its currently five parts, the standard DIN EN ISO 19650 - the German version being the German answer to the English PAS 1192 - offers a basic framework for the design of information management in construction. It contains the specifications and tasks that should enable successful information management and covers all life cycles of the building.
