DIN SPEC 33452
Code of practice for the provision of commercial private investigative services

Title (German)

Rahmenbedingungen und Anforderungskriterien für die Erbringung gewerblicher privater Ermittlungsdienstleistungen

Procedure

PAS

Overview

This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a workshop (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. This DIN SPEC has been prepared and adopted by the authors named in the foreword. DIN SPEC 33452 defines requirements for processes and procedures for individuals, employees in companies and companies (legal entities): a) who provide commercial investigative services; b) who provide services in companies that correspond to an investigative service. In addition to cross-process requirements, general and specific requirements for the provision of investigative services are to be formulated, but ethical requirements for service providers to provide high-quality investigative services are also to be defined. A transparent, standardized approach to the provision of private commercial investigation services, using uniform terminology, makes it easier for the consumer (customer) or service user to compare investigative services and ultimately to make a suitable choice (for commissioning).
