Overview

This DIN SPEC has been prepared by a workshop (temporary committee) in the course of the PAS procedure. This DIN SPEC has been prepared and adopted by the authors named in the foreword. This DIN SPEC specifies a designation system, test criteria, test methods and requirements for the marking, packaging and storage of rovings that are produced from molten basalt in a (thermal) melt-spinning process and that are used in the production of textiles as reinforcing fibres for use with plastics, hydraulic dies or in other applications. Textured yarns, yarns from staple fibres and pre-impregnated rovings are not covered in this specification.
