DIN ISO 21940-2
Mechanical vibration - Rotor balancing - Part 2: Vocabulary (ISO 21940-2:2017)

Title (German)

Mechanische Schwingungen - Auswuchten von Rotoren - Teil 2: Begriffe (ISO 21940-2:2017)

Overview

This standard defines terms relating to balancing technology in German. To promote international understanding, the English terms are also given and compiled in a separate index. In addition to the defined terms in German, the captions to the figures in the Annex give synonymous terms in German and English. This standard differs from DIN ISO 1925:2002-05 as follows: a) all terms from the standards series ISO 21940 have been merged in this standard; b) terms have been revised regarding the current state of the art and their use in the standards series ISO 21940. The International Standard ISO 21940-2:2017 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 108 "Mechanical vibration, shock and condition monitoring", Subcommittee SC 2 "Measurement and evaluation of mechanical vibration and shock as applied to machines, vehicles and structures", the secretariat of which is held by DIN, under German project management. The German contribution has been provided by Committee NA 001-03-06 AA (NALS/VDI C 6) "Auswuchten und Auswuchtmaschinen" ("Balancing and balancing machines") at DIN/VDI Standards Committee Acoustics, Noise Control and Vibration Engineering (NALS).
