Overview
This Technical Specification specifies requirements for establishing, implementing and maintaining prerequisite programmes (PRP) to assist in controlling food safety hazards. This Technical Specification is applicable to all organizations, regardless of size or complexity, which are involved in the manufacturing step of the food chain. This Technical Specification is neither designed nor intended for use in other parts of the food supply chain. This DIN SPEC contains the German translation of the International Technical Specification ISO/TS 22002-1:2009, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 34 "Food products", Subcommittee SC 17 "Management systems for food safety". The responsible national standardization committee is NA 057-02-02 AA "Lebensmittelsicherheit - Management-Systeme" ("Food safety management systems") at DIN Standards Committee Food and Agricultural Products (NAL).
