Overview

This standard applies together with DIN EN 12620:2008-07 to recycled aggregates with a particle density ≥ 1 500 kg/m3 for use in concrete. It specifies the testing and assessment of regulated dangerous substances in recycled aggregates. The use of recycled aggregates of types 1 and 2 in accordance with this standard and DIN EN 12620:2008-07 is regulated in DIN EN 206-1:2001-07, DIN EN 206-1/A1:2004-10, DIN EN 206-1/A2:2005-09 in conjunction with DIN 1045-2:2008-08 in compliance with DAfStb Concrete, recycled aggregates. Application-related structural requirements for types 3 and 4 in accordance with this standard are separately selected on the basis of DIN EN 12620:2008-07. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 005-07-15 AA "Gesteinskörnungen " ("Aggregates") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
