Overview
This part of DIN EN 61076 describes rewirable power connectors with snap locking for rated voltage of 250 V d.c. and rated current of 30 A, including the external and mating face dimensions and technical properties. The standard also specifies the performance requirements and test methods for these connectors. The products covered by this standard are connectors without switching capacity according to IEC 61984:2008, which are primarily intended for use in telecommunications DC distribution equipment such as outdoor telecommunications equipment, distribution frames and so on. The connectors are not intended to be connected or disconnected in normal use under voltage or under load, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer. The responsible committee is DKE/K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connectors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
