Low-voltage electrical installations - Part 6: Verification (IEC 60364-6:2016); German implementation HD 60364-6:2016 + A11:2017
Errichten von Niederspannungsanlagen - Teil 6: Prüfungen (IEC 60364-6:2016); Deutsche Übernahme HD 60364-6:2016 + A11:2017
Overview
This part of the DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100) series of standards contains requirements for the initial testing of electrical installations by means of inspection, testing and measurement, which are intended to determine whether the requirements of the other standards in the DIN VDE 0100 (VDE 0100) series have been met, where feasible. This part also contains requirements for the preparation of a test report on the initial test. The initial test shall be carried out after completion of a new electrical installation or after carrying out extensions or modifications to existing installations. Subclause 6.5 of HD 60364-6:2016 with requirements for periodic inspections has been transferred to DIN VDE 0105-100/A1 (VDE 0105-100/A1):2017-06. The standard differs significantly from DIN VDE 0100-600 (VDE 0100-600):2008-06 as follows: a) complete revision of the clause numbering; b) required inspections added to inspecting; c) update of Subclause 6.4.3, Testing and measuring (updating of the individual test steps, inclusion of the requirement for testing continuity when connecting to bodies, inclusion of the requirement for measuring the insulation resistance between active conductors, improved information on testing the voltage polarity, calculation of the earth resistance permitted as an alternative to measuring the earth resistance, note on additional protection through protective equipotential bonding included, revision of the list of measurement methods for determining the voltage drop); d) adaptation of the conditions for measurement methods for insulation resistance on floors and walls; e) revision of the measurement methods for measuring the earth resistance including the connection diagrams; f) inclusion of notes on supplementary tests for certain applications in National Annex NC. The responsible committee is DKE/UK 221.1 "Schutz gegen elektrischen Schlag" ("Protection against electric shock") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Informational Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
