Overview

DIN 19427 specifies requirements, test methods, marking, manufacturer's information and packaging for personal fall protection equipment used to protect persons on mobile elevating working platforms against the risk of catapulting out and falling. It deals with personal protection equipment that is used as personal protection equipment against falls from a height of not more than 75 cm above the platform's standing surface in a working platform of mobile elevating work platforms equipped with sufficiently load-bearing and marked anchorage points. Retractable type fall arresters, lanyards with energy absorbers and guided type fall arresters according to this German Standard are used as components in a fall arrest system according to DIN EN 363. This German Standard does not apply to equipment for restraint in accordance with DIN EN 354 and DIN EN 358. Committee NA 075-03-01 AA "Persönliche Schutzausrüstung gegen Absturz" ("Personal fall protection equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Personal Protective Equipment (NPS) at DIN is responsible for DIN 19427.
