DIN EN 140402
Blank Detail Specification: Fixed low power wirewound surface mount (SMD) resistors; German version EN 140402:2015 + A1:2016
Vordruck für Bauartspezifikation: Oberflächenmontierbare drahtgewickelte Festwiderstände (SMD) niedriger Belastbarkeit; Deutsche Fassung EN 140402:2015 + A1:2016
Overview
The blank for detail specification deals with fixed surface mount (SMD) wirewound low power resistors of assessment level EZ with the classification levels P and R. Assessment level EZ meets the requirements of the zero defect approach and aligns the evaluation procedures and levels with common industry practices, for example by setting the allowable number of non-conformities (acceptance number) at zero. Classification level P is a 100% inspection and classification level R is a 100% inspection with failure rate level. A blank detail specification is a supplementary document to the sectional specification and contains specifications on the structure, arrangement and minimum content of detail specifications. Detail specifications which do not meet these requirements are not to be classified as detail specifications according to European standards and should not be designated as such. The contents of EN 60115-8 should be taken into account when preparing detail specifications, and the preferred values given should be used. The detail specification should include a table of contents before the first page of the actual specification. For the specification of SI units see EN ISO 80000-1, for the specification of formula symbols for electrical engineering see EN 60027-1. The normative Annex A contains the test plan for the qualification approval with fixed sample size and the quality conformity test for fixed low power wirewound surface mount resistors. The informative Annex B contains formula symbols and abbreviations; the normative Annex C contains normative references. The bibliography completes the document. This Supplement 1 contains the normative Annex D - Assembly of components. This Annex specifies appropriate provisions for the installation of the products covered by the detail specification. A distinction may be made in the specifications between provisions for mechanical tests, provisions for electrical tests without consideration of a temperature increase caused by the load, provisions for electrical fatigue loading with consideration of a temperature increase caused by the load (for example, endurance tests) and provisions for temperature tests without electrical loading. These differentiated specifications may be combined as required. The responsible committee is DKE/GK 613 "Widerstände" ("Resistors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
